MI's Will Jacks and RCB's Josh Hazlewood have opted to join their respective teams for the remainder of the tournament, while Mitchell Starc and Faf du Plessis from DC have decided not to return.

Jacks Heads to Mumbai

All-rounder Will Jacks has departed from England to Mumbai to participate in the remaining IPL matches. He shared a photo of his flight ticket, dispelling earlier reports that he would not return for the rest of the season. Jacks has scored 195 runs at an average of 24.38, including one half-century, and has taken five wickets in 11 matches this season.

Starc's Decision Not to Return

According to reports, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has informed DC management of his decision not to return, marking a significant blow for the team. Previously, Jake Fraser-McGurk also announced he would not be returning. Starc is expected to focus on preparations for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, having taken 14 wickets at an average of 26.14, making him DC's leading wicket-taker this season.

DC Faces Player Shortages

In addition to Starc and du Plessis, DC will also be without Jake Fraser-McGurk and Donovan Ferreira, increasing the reliance on Indian players within the squad.

Hazlewood Set to Join RCB for Playoffs

Reports indicate that RCB's fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is preparing to return to India by the end of next week to participate in the playoff matches. His availability will be a significant advantage for RCB, especially since South African bowler Lungi Ngidi will miss out due to the WTC final. Hazlewood has been RCB's top wicket-taker this season, claiming 18 wickets in 10 matches.

Josh Inglis Delays Return Decision
